1. Sending SMS Messages
Sending a text to a client is as easy as sending an in-app message. You can fire off an SMS from a client's profile, from a booking detail screen, or from the dedicated messaging section — wherever it is most convenient in the moment.
Individual SMS
Open any client or booking and look for the SMS option. Type your message, hit send, and it is delivered to their phone as a standard text message. The message is also logged in the client's conversation history so you have a complete record of every interaction.
Bulk SMS
Need to reach multiple clients at once? Bulk SMS lets you send the same message to a group of clients — filter by booking status, travel dates, tags, or any other criteria. Great for sending group announcements, last-minute travel alerts, or seasonal promotions.
Choose your recipients
Select individual clients or use filters to build a recipient list. You can preview the list before sending to make sure you are reaching the right people.
Write your message
Keep it short and to the point — SMS messages should be concise. You can use personalization variables like the client’s first name to make each text feel personal.
Send and track
Hit send and the messages go out immediately. Each message is logged on the respective client’s profile so you always have a complete communication history.
Pro Tip
Use SMS for time-sensitive communications and email for everything else. A text message about a final payment due tomorrow gets noticed immediately, while a detailed itinerary is better suited for email. Match the channel to the urgency.
2. Daily Limits and Plan Tiers
SMS messaging is available on Pro and Premium plans, with daily sending limits that scale with your plan. This keeps costs manageable while giving you plenty of capacity for client communication.

Your daily limit resets at midnight UTC. You can see your remaining messages for the day on the SMS sending screen so you always know where you stand. For most travel agents, 200 messages per day is more than enough for day-to-day client communication, while 500 gives high-volume agencies plenty of headroom.
Dedicated Phone Numbers
Premium plan users get a dedicated phone number for their SMS messages. This means your texts come from a consistent number that your clients can save to their contacts — building recognition and trust. Pro plan users share a pool of sending numbers.
3. Twilio Integration and Two-Way Messaging
Pixie Dust CRM uses Twilio as the backbone for SMS delivery — the same platform trusted by companies worldwide for reliable text messaging. On the Premium plan, you also unlock two-way messaging so your clients can text you back.
How It Works
SMS integration is built in — you do not need to set up a Twilio account or manage any technical configuration. Pixie Dust CRM handles the connection behind the scenes. You just write your message and send. The system takes care of delivery, logging, and status tracking.
Two-Way Messaging (Premium)
With a dedicated phone number on the Premium plan, your clients can reply to your text messages directly. Their replies are routed back into Pixie Dust CRM via a webhook and appear in the client's conversation history — right alongside your in-app messages and emails.
